More ObamaCare Deception: Enrollment Period Delayed Until After Election Day 2014

When people can’t win their argument on facts, they sometimes move to deception.

For years now, Democrats have failed to win the argument on whether government should control your healthcare. To make up for their failures, they rushed through a bill with solely Democrat support and have relied on deception and, in some cases, flat out lies.

They announced yesterday they were delaying the enrollment period for ObamaCare one month. It sounds innocuous enough.

But postponing the date from October 15th to November 15th is actually far from innocuous. They’re deliberately pushing it back until after Election Day 2014.

After seeing the fallout resulting from technical glitches and astronomical premiums this past enrollment period, they’ve decided to wait until voters have finished voting before unveiling Train Wreck 2.0.

This should also give consumers across the country hoping to buy health insurance serious concern. After all, if the Obama administration doesn’t trust their signature piece of legislation a month before a national election, why should you trust it with your healthcare?

This certainly has not been the first time they have misled the American people. Famously, President Obama and Democrats across the country told us we could keep our current healthcare if we liked it. Not only has that been proven false, but we now know that they knew years ago this wouldn’t be the case. The American people were deliberately lied to in order to sell a law they don’t want and can’t afford.

Earlier this summer, the Obama administration unilaterally delayed ObamaCare’s employer mandate. Yet they kept the mandate for individuals in place and threatened to veto any plan that would give the same basic fairness to American families that they gave to big business.

President Obama knows this healthcare law is a hunk of junk. It’s raising premiums, canceling plans, and keeping people from choosing their doctors. He’s afraid to have Democrats on the ballot as ObamaCare continues to collapse around them.

We can’t let them get away with this. Democrats can run from ObamaCare, but they can’t hide.
