5 out of 6 ain’t bad, right?
Back in a November weekly radio address, President Obama said budgets “expose what our priorities are as a country for all to see.”
However, it is becoming increasingly likely the President will miss the legal deadline to submit his budget to Congress for the fifth time in six years.
Last year, President Obama submitted his budget to Congress more than two months after he was legally required to. Obama has missed the budget deadline “more than any president dating back to the Budget and Accounting Act of 1921.”
If a budget is a statement of our principles and priorities for all to see, why has President Obama consistently refused to submit his priorities for America on time?
Maybe a full year isn’t enough time to prepare a budget?
Maybe Obama’s priorities are so out of touch with the American people, he’s afraid Congress won’t pass his budget? (Hint: They are and his budget has never passed Congress.)
Or maybe he forgot to work on his budget while vacationing in Hawaii?
One thing is for sure, the Obama Administration has been consistent on one thing – delays. From delaying the ObamaCare employer mandate to delaying the deadline for signing up for health care coverage due to the failed healthcare.gov website, President Obama has proven time and again that deadlines are meaningless in his incompetent administration.
