Youth Enrollment in ObamaCare is Pretty Bad, But It’s Even Worse in Arizona
The White House released numbers late yesterday on the percentage of ObamaCare enrollees so far who are between the ages of 18 and 35. Because this demographic is crucial to ObamaCare’s ability to keep premiums from skyrocketing out of control, a recent report found that an enrollment rate of 25% was a “worst-case scenario.”
The actual number, according to the White House, is 24%, a full percentage point lower.
In Arizona though, that number is even worse. Only 17% of ObamaCare enrollees there are 18 to 25 years old, the lowest rate in the entire country.
When will Democrats like Ron Barber, Ann Kirkpatrick, and Kyrsten Sinema acknowledge to the voters of Arizona that ObamaCare is failing? It’s time for something new, and Arizonans know it.
From the Phoenix News Times:
That said, those young people just aren’t signing up in Arizona at this point, as indicated in the HHS enrollment statistics released yesterday.
The Obama Administration’s goal was to have about 40 percent of the people in enrolling in the marketplace be between the ages of 18 and 35.
According to the stats released yesterday, only about 24 percent of the enrollees are in that age group. In Arizona, it’s just 17 percent — the lowest proportion in the nation, tied with West Virginia.
