This Democrat Won’t Talk to the Media Because He’s “A Press Release Kind of Guy”
Have you been following the strange campaign of Aaron Woolf, the Democrat running to replace Bill Owens in New York’s 21st District? Since becoming a candidate a month ago, Woolf has refused to speak with the media or take questions.
Why? Because, according to Woolf, “he’s a press release kind of guy.” No joke – that is exactly what he told the Adirondack Daily Enterprise.
That is probably not the best strategy for Woolf to reach beyond the echo chamber of the local Democrat committees he has been talking to. Especially when local voters are saying things like this:
“I never knew the man. I don’t know what he looks like, and I’ve lived here my entire life.”
We’ve said it before, we’ll say it again – if this is how Woolf is going to campaign, he should try running for dog catcher first.
NRCC Comment: “Aaron Woolf may be used to producing movies and songs for Phish, but running for Congress isn’t about avoiding the issues by producing generic press releases and calling it a day. It’s time for Woolf to stop waiting for his handlers to tell him what to say and to start being honest and transparent about where he stands on the issues in this race.” – NRCC Spokesman Ian Prior
