This Democrat Running in a Republican District Proudly Supports Nancy Pelosi for Speaker

Martha Robertson is a Democrat running in NY-23. It is an R+3 district that Mitt Romney won in 2012.

But that won’t stop Robertson from supporting a single payer government run healthcare system, it won’t stop her from wanting to end Medicare Advantage, and it sure as heck isn’t going to stop her from proudly proclaiming her loyalty to Nancy Pelosi.

It’s not often that a candidate flat out admits wanting to vote for Pelosi – especially in a Republican leaning district – but then again, it’s not often that a candidate has a convicted sex offender host a fundraiser, sends a fundraising email that defrauds her own supporters, or calls conservation her favorite fuel.

Of course, Robertson’s second vote is going to be for campaign finance reform, which has apparently replaced climate change as her number one issue. We’re betting that neither of those are as much of a concern to Southern Tier voters as say, I don’t know, JOBS AND THE ECONOMY!
