DCCC and Kevin Strouse Unimpressive in Pennsylvania’s 8th District Primary

May 21, 2014

Pelosi Approved

Shaughnessy Naughton may have lost the primary in Pennsylvania’s 8th District last night, but the big losers were Kevin Strouse and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.

After all, Strouse vastly outraised and outspent Naughton, but managed to win by a mere 818 votes (51%-49%). Further, Strouse sprinted to the left in order to get that unimpressive win – he fully embraced Obamacare and even advocated for expanding the costly and disastrous law by requiring taxpayers to fund sex change operations.

Meanwhile, the Nancy Pelosi and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee showed themselves to be complete and utter hypocrites by anointing Washington D.C. transplant Strouse as their candidate over an obviously viable female candidate who was actually from the district.

There was winner in this whole debacle though – Congressman Mike Fitzpatrick.

NRCC Comment: “Kevin Strouse won the race to the left in the Democratic primary and for that his prize will be a double digit loss to Mike Fitzpatrick in November. Meanwhile, Nancy Pelosi and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee sent a clear message to local Democrats that want to run for office – get out of the way for the vanilla candidates that will follow their orders and push their out-of-touch agenda.” – NRCC Spokesman Ian Prior
