2.9 Million Americans Wait for ObamaCare, Still

June 3, 2014

Today, CQ Roll Call released a survey showing 2.9 million Americans who signed up for Medicaid coverage have not had their applications processed. In addition, some of the paperwork from these applicants have been sitting in queues since last fall.

Due to the many HealthCare.gov malfunctions and delays, some applicants are unable to receive their benefits they are “legally entitled to receive”. Now, many Americans are having to reschedule doctor appointments and are uncertain about their healthcare future.

As the ObamaCare woes continue, many taxpayers will be taking their frustrations to the voting booths this November. After constantly being betrayed by Barack Obama and the Democrats’ liberal healthcare agenda, families and taxpayers deserve a Republican leader who will repeal this toxic law and promote healthcare stability.

From CQ Roll Call:

“The survey’s estimate of at least 2.9 million unprocessed applications is a conservative tally because some states didn’t furnish all of the requested information. Nonetheless, the number of those potentially deprived of Medicaid benefits is almost equal to the total populations of Wyoming, Montana and North and South Dakota.

“Thirty-six states rely on the federal insurance site healthcare.gov to transmit applications of people federal officials believe will qualify for Medicaid. Six of those states provided CQ Roll Call with the number of applications still stuck at the federal marketplace but couldn’t say how many people were covered. Eleven offered numbers for pending applications that had been transferred but similarly didn’t know the number of individuals covered in the paperwork.”
