If You’re A Solid Liberal, There’s a 60% Chance You Aren’t Proud to be an American

The Washington Post last week dropped some shocking news, via a new poll from the Pew Research Center that analyzed different political groups’ opinions about their country.

Get this: just 40% of “solid liberals” admitted they “often feel proud to be an American.”

Majorities in every other political group – including conservatives – felt proud to be American, but the “solid liberals” in America apparently feel more ashamed of their country than proud.

Don’t fear. According to Pew, solid liberals comprise just 15% of Americans.

Is anyone surprised?

As it turns out, that sentiment isn’t all that unusual on the far left of American politics. According to a new Pew Research Center study, only 40 percent of consistently liberal Americans say they often feel proud to be Americans.

The other 60 percent say that doesn’t describe them.
