New NRCC TV Ad and Website Targets Peterson’s Congressional Perks

September 9, 2014

The National Republican Congressional Committee today released its first fall TV ad in Minnesota’s 7th Congressional District along with a website encouraging voters to learn more about Rep. Collin Peterson’s congressional perks. Entitled “Changed”, the ad is running in the Fargo and Minneapolis markets.

The website, www.petersonrecord.com, lists a timeline of all the taxpayer-funded congressional perks Collin Peterson has enjoyed over his 23 years in Congress, including taxpayer-funded car leases, private planes, and travel reimbursements.

NRCC Comment: “Collin Peterson’s 23 years in Congress have made him a creature of Washington. Instead of standing up for Minnesota families and farmers, Peterson is enjoying taxpayer-funded car leases and private flights. Minnesotans wants a congressman who puts their interests ahead of congressional perks.” – Tyler Q. Houlton, NRCC Spokesman

ANNCR: What happened to Collin Peterson?

After 23 years in Washington, he’s changed.

It was bad enough when Peterson charged taxpayers for one leased car, now he has two.

Minnesota Senators don’t even have two.

Worse? We also reimburse Peterson for gas and mileage.

More than double any other Minnesota Congressman.

Check the records yourself.

Collin Peterson. He’s been in Washington so long, it’s changed him.
