ObamaCare Forced this Idaho School Board to Cut Workers’ Hours. Your School Could Be Next.
According to an Idaho Times-News article, the Twin Falls School Board was forced to cut “employees’ hours amid fears of skyrocketing health-care costs under the Affordable Care Act.”
In order to save money, the School Board had to slash more than 150 employees’ hours and cut their annual income by $535 to $2,100. Not only are these employees affected by ObamaCare, but Twin Falls students are suffering as their favorite teachers and workers are forced to find new jobs.
Taxpayers deserve a Republican leader in Congress who will provide a checks-and-balances to the Administration’s hurtful and job-killing regulations like ObamaCare’s 30-hour workweek mandate.
From Times-News:
“The Twin Falls School Board approved the move to slash hours for more than 150 non-professional, or classified, staff after administrators said maintaining work hours would cost the district $1 million.
“’It’s an unintended consequence of the health care reform act,’ district Human Resources Director Shannon Swafford said Tuesday.”
