Does Gwen Graham Stand With North Florida Families Or With Obama?

January 21, 2015

money drainNow that we’ve heard Barack Obama’s latest round of empty rhetoric during tonight’s campaign speech State of the Union Address, it will be interesting to see where Gwen Graham’s loyalties lie.

We already know that Gwen Graham admitted behind closed doors that she supports Obamacare, despite the fact that Floridians are losing their health care and seeing their premiums skyrocket. (Oh, and let us not forget the $700 billion that was gutted from Medicare to help cover the astronomical cost of Obamacare.)

But what other initiatives of the President does Gwen Graham support?  Does she support his chronic calls for increasing taxes – just like he has in every single one of his State of the Union speeches since taking office?  (With an approach like that to government spending, no wonder our national debt has gone from $10.6 trillion to over $18 trillion on Obama’s watch.)

During tonight’s speech, Obama called for $320 billion in new taxes.  This includes a 4.2% increase on the capital gains and dividends tax rate; a 20% hike in the death tax; a bank tax; a tax on middle class families saving for their children’s college; and tax increases in retirement plans and new employer mandates.

Will Gwen Graham take a stand against this tax-happy President, or will she fall in line with her fellow Democrats who have never seen a tax increase they didn’t like?

NRCC Comment:  “Gwen Graham needs to stand up for middle class North Florida families by denouncing the fiscally reckless policies of this President.  The people of North Florida cannot afford another $320 billion in tax increases, and Graham needs to do the right thing by denouncing Barack Obama’s latest round of absurd spending proposals.” –NRCC Spokesman Chris Pack.
