Gwen Graham Makes Pelosi’s “Most Vulnerable Incumbents” List
Even Nancy Pelosi realizes that Gwen Graham’s re-election bid is already in serious trouble. According to Roll Call, Graham has been assigned to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee’s “program for the party’s most vulnerable incumbents.” This should come as no surprise given the gaffes already plaguing Graham.
A few weeks after being sworn in, Graham went all-in on Barack Obama’s $60 billion plan to tax middle class college savings accounts to pay for “free” community college. Then she doubled down on her support after the NRCC called her out on it by saying she wouldn’t be bullied into silence. That, of course, happened before she was left standing at the altar after even Barack Obama bailed out on Barack Obama’s plan to tax middle class college savings accounts. Perhaps feeling embarrassed, she then insisted that she never supported the free community college plan despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary.
And who could forget Graham releasing a 138 word statement on the repeal of Obamacare where she refuses to say how she voted?
And don’t even get us started on Graham’s so-called support for North Florida farmers when she refuses to denounce Obama’s plan to slash $16 billion in funding for crop insurance programs despite her bragging about her position on the House Agriculture Subcommittee overseeing crop insurance.
And to think it is only the middle of February in year one…
NRCC Comment: “Even Nancy Pelosi realizes that Gwen Graham is in serious re-election trouble thanks to her gaffes, flip-flops and contradictions during her first six weeks in office. We look forward to reminding the people of North Florida that the Gwen Graham in Washington is very different than the person she pretends to be in her district.” –NRCC Spokesman Chris Pack
