Dems having cold feet with Brad Schneider

June 1, 2015

cold feetFormer Congressman Brad Schneider must be sweating over Roll Call’s report this morning that the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee is “holding off” on making endorsements in primaries this cycle after it “rushed to judgment” and backed multiple disappointing candidates in 2014.

Schneider is facing a tough primary challenge from Highland Park Mayor Nancy Rotering, who raised $366,000 in the first quarter of this year. So does the DCCC’s decision to stay out of primaries leave former Member Brad Schneider hanging? This has to be great news for Nancy Rotering!

“National Democrats’ decision to stay out of primaries puts former Member Brad Schneider’s candidacy in limbo as he faces a tough primary battle. The DCCC’s lack of enthusiasm for Schneider raises a lot of questions about how seriously – or not – Democrats are taking his candidacy.” – NRCC Spokesman Zach Hunter
