Steve Santarsiero: The cowardly lion of PA-08

According to PoliticsPA, PA state representative and PA-08 candidate Steve Santarsiero has gotten himself worked up into a tizzy over a campaign staffer of Shaughnessy Naughton.  Santarsiero alleges that the staffer was an accomplice in Attorney General Kathleen Kane breaking the law and the fact that Naughton would hire this staffer is telling on how she would run her congressional office.

If Santarsiero really believes that, what does it say about him? If he is so appalled by the actions of Kane and her staff to the point of using them as a political issue in his congressional campaign, why won’t he use his official position as a state representative to call for Kane’s resignation or to start the impeachment proceedings against her?  It appears he’s only willing to use it as a tool in his campaign to give himself a promotion – and that makes him the cowardly lion of PA-08.

NRCC Comment:  “If Steve Santarsiero is so worked up over the indiscretions of Kathleen Kane, then why hasn’t he called for her resignation or used his position as state representative to start impeachment proceedings against her?  The fact that Santarsiero is willing to use Kane to score political points in his campaign for Congress but won’t do anything about it in his official position as state representative shows you just how much of a hypocrite he is.” –NRCC Spokesman Chris Pack
