Ami Bera wants you to build a budget. Just don’t expect him to vote for it.

Today, apparently without a hint of irony, Ami Bera is hosting a workshop for 7^th District voters to write their own federal budgets, despite the fact that Bera himself has NEVER voted for a budget resolution during his time in Congress.

In fact, Bera’s budget hypocrisy is so great, that he was called out for campaigning on “no budget, no pay” legislation while simultaneously refusing to support any proposed budget plan.

However, Ami Bera does lead in one category: he is tied as the LEAST effective member of the California Congressional delegation. Bera can hold all the workshops he wants, but his lack of leadership and record of ineffectiveness speak for themselves.

“During his budget workshop today, Ami Bera should explain to his constituents why he has never voted for a budget during his entire career in Congress. By the end of the two and a half hour workshop, Bera’s constituents will have done more work on a federal budget than their own member of Congress.” – NRCC Spokesman Zach Hunter
