Debbie Wasserman Schultz has once again put politics ahead of our national security with her vote in favor of the dangerous Iran deal just last Friday. Despite its status as a State Sponsor of Terrorism, Iran will rake in more than $100 billion dollars as the United States and partner nations unfreeze Iranian assets and liberalize trade restrictions as part of the deal. Wasserman Schultz’s vote ensures Iran will have greater resources to funnel to terrorist groups that will put America and our allies in danger. Just last month, President Obama admitted Iran’s support of terrorism, stating, “We have no illusions about the Iranian government…Iran supports terrorist organizations like Hezbollah.”

“By supporting this dangerous deal with Iran, Debbie Wasserman Schultz put our national security and the safety of our soldiers and allies at risk,” said NRCC Communications Director Katie Martin. “Instead of taking a stand to ensure no new funds flow to terrorist groups, Wasserman Schultz dangerously voted to authorize billions for this State Sponsor of Terrorism.”
