Will Scott Peters vote against funding terrorists tomorrow?

February 1, 2016

petersLast September, Scott Peters voted to lift economic sanctions on Iran as part of Barack Obama’s nuclear deal.  Since that vote, Secretary of State John Kerry has admitted that the eased sanctions that Peters supported will lead to funding for terrorist organizations.

This puts Peters in quite the predicament tomorrow when the House will vote to restrict the President from lifting these sanctions.  Will Peters double down on his support of the president’s dangerous plan that provides funding to terrorist organizations or will he have a mea culpa moment by instead voting to keep his constituents safe?

Decisions, decisions…

NRCC Comment: “Last September Scott Peters voted with the President to lift sanctions on Iran that our Secretary of State now admits will fund terrorist organizations.  Will Peters double down on his support of the President’s dangerous plan tomorrow or will he have a mea culpa moment where he realizes that protecting his constituents is more important than playing nice with President Obama?” –NRCC Spokesman Zach Hunter
