NRCC calls on Ruben Kihuen to return $2700 donation from Andres Ramirez

The NRCC is calling on Ruben Kihuen to return a $2,700 donation from Andres Ramirez after reports showed that the FBI has subpoenaed records involving his firm, the Ramirez Group for use in a corruption investigation. Kihuen is a principal at the Ramirez Group.

Kihuen has already returned a $1,000 contribution from Las Vegas City Councilman Ricki Barlow, who is the target of the same FBI investigation.

If “Ruben has zero tolerance for corruption” and believes that “these allegations…are serious” as his campaign manager says, why hasn’t he also returned the donations from Ramirez?

NRCC Comment: “Why hasn’t Ruben Kihuen returned contributions from his business partner Andres Ramirez after reports revealed the he is now tied to an FBI corruption investigation? Kihuen has already been forced to return questionable campaign cash from one politician under investigation, so it only raises more questions when Kihuen hangs onto donations from his crony who is also under scrutiny by the FBI.” – NRCC Spokesman Zach Hunter
