NRCC Chairman Greg Walden’s Statement on Republican House Majority

WASHINGTON – National Republican Congressional Committee Chairman Greg Walden issued the following statement on tonight’s House election results:

“Congratulations to tonight’s winning Republican incumbents and candidates. The American people have spoken, and have once again elected a strong Republican majority to represent them in Congress. I would especially like to thank Speaker Paul Ryan and the entire Republican leadership team for their unwavering dedication to ensuring that we had the resources necessary to maintain our majority.

“House Republicans won tonight thanks to our members’ relentless focus on the issues important to voters in their districts. Members of our Conference centered their campaigns on the work they have done to make their constituents’ lives better, and those efforts can be seen in tonight’s results.

“I look forward to working with my colleagues returning to the House in 2017, as well as new members of the House Republican Conference, as we work to offer a better way for America.”
