show me the money
Jon Ossoff has a bit of a problem. His financial disclosure, filed a month late, shows that he received at least $5,000 from Al Jazeera.
Since the exact $ amount is not disclosed, he’s been asked several times how much he really got from the Qatar-based propaganda outlet.
Washington Free Beacon: “The Ossoff campaign did not respond to inquiries about the exact amount of money Ossoff has received from Al Jazeera.”
ZPolitics: “Ossoff’s campaign has not responded to questions about exactly how much his business received from Al Jazeera…”
He also told the Atlanta Journal Constitution when asked about his ties to Al Jazeera that he “stands by his work as a journalist and businessman.”
But wait – there’s more. Yesterday, he released an ad highlighting his work against the horrors of ISIS. This is quite a contrast with being bankrolled by a group that “has been identified as a state-sponsor of terrorism in the Middle East” and is known to have funneled money to ISIS, Al-Qaeda, and Hamas.
“Jon Ossoff has a decision to make. Either he tells voters exactly how much money he received from Al-Jazeera, a group that sponsors terrorism, or he kisses his congressional bid goodbye. Hiding something of this magnitude is unacceptable and makes him 100% unfit to serve in office.” – NRCC Spokeswoman Maddie Anderson
