Selling us short

Yesterday in an address to progressive activists, Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti pushed back on knee-jerk obstructionists within his own party, saying: “If we define ourselves solely by our opposition to this administration, we will sell ourselves short and more important, we will sell the American people short.”

This is salient advice for California’s vulnerable Democrat incumbents like Ami Bera, Salud Carbajal, Raul Ruiz, and Scott Peters.

Here’s a question: Can you name one notable idea or accomplishment these four Members of Congress have championed this year not having to do with obstructing the majority’s agenda?

We can’t either.
