San Francisco loves Ossoff
Jon Ossoff doesn’t even live in the district he wants to represent.
What’s worse is his campaign is reliant on financial contributions from the San Francisco liberal elite aligned with Nancy Pelosi.
The voices Jon Ossoff cares about are thousands of miles away in California, not Georgia.
Georgia Democrat Jon Ossoff could not answer a question Tuesday night about who he will vote for in his own congressional election, forcing him to defend the fact that he does not live in the district where he is running for the House of Representatives.
Ossoff discussed his current residency during a debate with his Republican opponent, former Georgia Secretary of State Karen Handel, two weeks before their June 20 runoff election.
Towards the end of the evening, each candidate was given the opportunity to ask their opponent a question. Ossoff asked Handel about her time with the Susan G. Komen Foundation; she in turn asked Ossoff about his residency.
“So Jon, I guess what I would like to know is exactly who are you going to vote for in this election?” Handel asked.
Ossoff paused for several seconds before asking, “Is that the question?” He then launched into a response.
Ossoff explained he had previously addressed the matter, reiterating that he is living outside the district to support his now-fiancée. The Georgia Democrat cannot vote for himself because he does not live in the district he is running to represent.
He also attacked Handel for being “born and raised in Washington, D.C.”
“It is of concern to the people of the sixth district that you do not live in our community,” Handel responded. “And while I was born in Washington, D.C., I didn’t get to pick where I was born. But the fact is, I’ve been in Georgia for almost as long as you’ve been alive.”
