Lujan: ethically challenged?

June 27, 2017

In case you missed it, yesterday the House Ethics Committee announced it has initiated an investigation against Rep. Ben Ray Lujan for allegedly breaking House ethics rules.

According to the AP, the Foundation for Accountability and Civic Trust filed a complaint against Lujan for using photos of himself in the House chamber to raise campaign funds during last year’s sit-in on the House floor. It is against House ethics rules to do so.

“As DCCC Chairman, it appears Ben Ray Lujan may be losing sight of his first and most important job: representing the people of New Mexico in his official capacity. Just because Ben serves as Nancy Pelosi’s political right-hand man doesn’t mean he can forget about the families in New Mexico who abhor this kind of political corruption.” -NRCC Spokesman Jack Pandol
