Democratic Rep. Seth Moulton Admits Democrats Are Out-Of-Touch

June 28, 2017

Democratic Congressman Seth Moulton agreed his party is out-of-touch with the very people they are supposed to represent.

Moulton criticized Democratic Leadership and specifically targeted Nancy Pelosi’s inability to connect with voters.

After four straight special election losses, House Democrats are worried Nancy Pelosi could be a serious threat to their party.

“Rep. Seth Moulton (D-MA) on Tuesday said that the Democratic Party is “really out of touch with most of America,” during an interview with NPR’s Robert Siegel.

Siegel asked Moulton what House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) greatest shortcoming is as a leader.

“Look, a lot of the things they say about her are not true, and they’re not fair, but they’re nonetheless effective,” Moulton responded. “I think people look at our party right now as really out of touch with most of America. And when you have a party leadership that is out of touch with the rest of the country, then that’s a real problem for the entire party.”

Siegel followed by asking Moulton if Pelosi was out of touch because she’s from San Francisco.

“Well, some people – some people say that,” Moulton responded.”
