Moments ago, Matt Cartwright voted against emergency funding for the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP).
CHIP provides low-cost health care to more than 8 million families. As of 2016, 342,268 children were enrolled in the CHIP program in Pennsylvania.
Cartwright is more concerned about his standing with Nancy Pelosi than ensuring children in his district have access to affordable health care. According to my latest tally, he’s voted with Pelosi a staggering 96 percent of the time.
BTW, this is Cartwright’s second vote against CHIP funding in less than two months…
