almost out of pinocchios
Andy Kim may be running one of the most uninspiring campaigns in the country, but that hasn’t stopped him from intentionally spreading lies that have already been disproven.
Yesterday, Kim parroted debunked claims on CHIP and the GOP tax bill made by comedian Jimmy Kimmel…
Andy Kim: MacArthur and GOP are pushing tax cuts for the wealthy before helping millions of sick children.
Wrong. House Republicans have voted twice to fund CHIP – and it was Democrats led by Nancy Pelosi who voted against those efforts. But don’t take my word for it, the Washington Post set the record straight in their review of Kimmel’s comments:
In any case, the stopgap spending bill approved in early December included a provision that permits the Department of Health and Human Services to shift funds internally to help states whose CHIP programs are running out of money. Congressional leaders are expected to continue negotiating a long-term reauthorization of the program in the coming weeks.
If Andy Kim hopes to have any credibility when his dumpster fire of a campaign comes to an end, he should discard the Hollywood talking points and start telling the truth.
