epic fail

Matt Cartwright just sent Pennsylvanians a clear message: Their hard-earned money would be put to better use in the hands of Washington politicians and bureaucrats.
We disagree. Here’s what families can expect next year:
- A tax cut of $2,059 for a family of four earning the median family income of $73,000
- Lower rates for individuals, setting rates at 0%, 10%, 12%, 22%, 24%, 32%, 35%, and 37%
- A nearly doubled standard deduction – from $6500 and $13,000 under current law to $12,000 and $24,000 for individuals and married couples
- An expanded Child Tax Credit – from $1,000 to $2,000
- An expanded medical expense deduction for medical expenses exceeding 7.5% of adjusted gross income
- A simplified tax code that can be filed on a postcard
As usual, Matt Cartwright is more concerned with appeasing Nancy Pelosi than delivering tax relief to middle-class families in his district.
