Kind of a bad vote
December 21, 2017
Ron Kind ended 2017 by voting to shut down the federal government and kill funding for the Children’s Health Insurance Program.
CHIP is a safety net program that provides essential health care to 8.4 million low-income children. It also supports about 370,000 pregnant women each year – many of which live in medically-underserved communities and lack comprehensive health services.
It’s been quite a week for Kind, who also voted to deprive taxpayers of the first overhaul of our broken tax system in 31 years. No thanks to Kind, middle-class families will receive an average of $2,000 in tax relief.
I wonder what Nancy Pelosi will get him for Christmas this year…
