ICYMI: O’Halleran in serious trouble
In case you missed it, over the weekend Tom O’Halleran’s 2016 primary opponent announced he will challenge the Congressman, citing O’Halleran’s “ineffectiveness” in office. Miguel Olivas took 41% of the vote in 2016, winning Pinal County.
O’Halleran, already under fire from the left, was named the most vulnerable Democrat House incumbent in the country by Roll Call.
Will the man who has run for office as a Republican, an Independent, and now a Democrat lurch further to the left to save his own skin in a Democratic primary? How will he pivot from appeasing far-left activists to mainstream voters in a general election?
Bottom line: if even O’Halleran’s base recognizes that he’s useless, he’s toast.
