NRCC Statement on House Vote to Keep Government Open

The NRCC released the following statement regarding the House of Representatives passing a bill to keep the government open.

“House Republicans fulfilled their duty to the American people by voting to keep the federal government open for business. Almost every single Democrat voted to shut down the government and play politics,” said NRCC spokesman Jesse Hunt.

“The ball is in the Senate’s court. Chuck Schumer and his fellow Senate Democrats should think long and hard before they put their partisan agenda ahead of our national security and children’s health care.”
