Moving the goalposts: “$1,000 bonuses are crumbs”
First, Dems said everyone’s taxes will go up. Then they said, “Okay, some will see cuts.” Then they changed the argument again by claiming corporations won’t reward their employees.
Most recently, and the most insulting claim of all, Nancy Pelosi began referring to the bonuses millions of Americans are receiving as a result of tax reform as “crumbs.”
And her army of Democrat sheep followed blindly.
Are Dems forgetting when they previously applauded a paycheck increase of $40? Clearly, their selective memory is self-serving and not out of the best interest of millions of middle-class Americans.
Because of tax reform, 90% of Americans will receive more money in their paychecks from the new withholding tables, and millions are hardworking Americans are receiving corporate dividends.
Not that multi-millionaire Nancy Pelosi would understand this, but that money can significantly ease the cost of living for middle-class Americans—perhaps going toward a new washer, a year’s worth of gas, or money for college.
This panicked Democratic rhetoric comes as a result of Americans feeling the benefits of tax reform in their wallets and their jobs. Tax reform launched our nation into The Great American Comeback, and with the upward economic trajectory the country is on as a result, Republicans intend to make these pro-growth policies last. No thanks to Democrats only looking out for their political best interests.
