Danny O’Connor’s closest ally

On the campaign trail, liberal Danny O’Connor frequently references his close relationship with Ted Strickland. Does he think that’s a smart play given Strickland’s horrible record?

• In December 2015, O’Connor said “Ohio needs Ted’s progressive voice in the Senate” and he went on to campaign with Strickland in 2016.
• In February 2018, Strickland endorsed O’Connor for Congress.
• As Governor, Strickland lost Ohio 350,000 jobs and spent the Rainy Day fund down to just 89 cents.
• O’Connor and Strickland both support Obamacare, which has caused insurers to flee the state and premiums to skyrocket by an average of 34 percent in 2018 alone.
