question for Malinowski
August 14, 2018
Tom Malinowski refuses to denounce one of his top advisors at Human Rights Watch after he was suspended for collecting Nazi memorabilia while investigating the tactics of the Israel Defense Forces.
- Malinowski was the Washington Advocacy Director for Human Rights Watch from 2001-2013
- During that time, Malinowski told the Washington Post that Marc Garlasco was a “perfect fit” for his organization
- Garlasco was suspended for his personal obsession with Nazi memorabilia and even put a vanity license plate on his car named after Nazi artillery
Malinowski and Human Rights Watch stood by Garlasco after his suspension, and Garlasco has been a vocal supporter of Malinowski’s campaign.
If Malinowski can’t stand up and distance himself from guys like this, can he really claim that he would stand up to dictators?
