some thoughts on McAdams’ painful new ad

In Ben McAdams’ latest ad, the longtime Democratic political operative hops in the shower with his clothes on to distract from the truth behind his empty rhetoric. In reality, Ben needs to come clean for more than what a little Head & Shoulders can wash away.

McAdams claims he doesn’t support Nancy Pelosi, but Nancy Pelosi supports Ben McAdams.

Ben is supported by the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (which has received over $91 million directly from Pelosi since the end of July).
McAdams has received direct contributions from multiple Pelosi deputies, including Steny Hoyer, Joe Crowley, Adam Schiff, and DCCC Recruitment Chair Denny Heck.
Pelosi said in June: “When I’m not in the Capitol, I’m someplace else raising money to elect those very people [who claim not to support her for Speaker].

McAdams claims he will “curb the power of special interests,” but he’s already taken over $200,000 from special interest PACs this cycle, including:

$1,000 from Progressive Choices PAC
$5,000 from LiUNA PAC
$2,500 from Human Rights Campaign PAC
$5,000 from the American Federation of Teachers Staff Union Committee on Political Education
