Katie Porter cut an ad pushing back on allegations that she supports the gas tax, calling it a “straight up lie.”

But new secret audio shows the only person lying “straight up” is Katie.

At a town hall in May, Porter said: “I support all the people who voted for it. I support Josh Newman who voted for the gas tax.”

The next month, Newman lost his recall election over the gas tax by 20 points.

Two months after that, Porter changed her tune: “I oppose higher gas taxes.”
