This morning, Lauren Baer was the 3rd candidate to sign onto the latest End Citizens United “reform” letter.
In the letter done by a Super PAC who spends millions of dollars on ads with the stated goal of “getting big money out of politics,” Baer committed to “limiting the influence of big donors on campaigns, quashing the political influence, real or perceived…”She also “acknowledges the corrosive role money and special interests have played in shaking the American people’s faith in the system.”
Well folks, turns out Lauren Baer doesn’t merely “acknowledge” the corrosive role money has played in shaking voters’ faith in the political system, she also laughs about it with her DC mega-donors behind closed doors!
Just 2 weeks ago at a closed-door DC fundraiser, Lauren Baer giggled with her mega-donors while saying – and I quote – “I got my career started on a slightly different path. I actually started out litigating, doing things like fighting to get money out of politics. I recognize the irony in that.” ~laughter~
