NRCC’s Jesse Hunt: Young Voters Remember Speaker Pelosi, That’s What’s At Stake
WASHINGTON – NRCC Spokesman Jesse Hunt today joined Fox News’ Harris Faulker to highlight positive early return numbers from voters and Republicans’ enthusiasm in the wake of Justice Kavanaugh’s Supreme Court confirmation.
JESSE HUNT: Our early vote absentee data shows that enthusiasm is up across the board. We’ve known all cycle the Democrats are going to be engaged in this election, but after the Kavanaugh confirmation battle, we really saw an uptick in Republican enthusiasm, and that’s bearing out in a lot of the early vote data that we’re seeing. Right now, I think a lot of voters are engaged and enthused as it pertains to young voters. I think young voters are going to be really attracted to the Republican message of a booming economy—we have 3.7% unemployment, GDP this last quarter was 3.5%, consumer confidence is at a high not seen in nearly 20 years—those are all positive things. Young voters remember the last time Nancy Pelosi was in control of the House—the economy was in shambles and young voters, recent college graduates couldn’t find jobs—that’s what’s at stake seven days from now.
