NRCC’s Jesse Hunt: Democrats’ Liberal Agenda Is As Popular As Food Poisoning

WASHINGTON – NRCC Spokesman Jesse Hunt today joined Fox News to draw distinctions between Republicans’ record of economic improvement versus Democrats’ far-left liberal agenda.

JESSE HUNT: We have been very appreciative of all the help that President Trump, Vice President Pence, and the entire administration has given us—be it robocalls, be it campaign appearances, be it fundraisers—they have really done a tremendous job in helping maintain this House majority. The president has made trips to Illinois, to Nevada, to Minnesota—those are places where we have a lot of key fights that will determine, ultimately, who controls the House. I think the president does a tremendous job motivating Republican voters. We actually just made a commitment ourselves—a first-time-ever nationwide radio ad that totals nearly half a million dollars and run in over 15 markets. What we are trying to do is draw a very clear distinction, make voters understand exactly what’s at stake. I talked about some of those really positive economic numbers—3.7% unemployment, 250,000 jobs added—right now, Democrats are rallying around an agenda that consists of abolishing ICE and single-payer health care. In battleground districts, those positions are about as popular as food poisoning.
