Dem Foreign Affairs chair: Terrorism is irrelevant
House Dems have taken their obsessive hatred of President Trump to a dangerous new level, with new Foreign Affairs Chairman Eliot Engel telling the New Yorker he is eliminating the panel’s Subcommittee on Terrorism and replacing it with a new subcommittee focused on investigating President Trump.
Engel went on to say that there “wasn’t a great clamor” among Democrats to keep the committee, which was created after the 9/11 attacks to oversee the nation’s response to the threat of terrorism, and that he wanted to “do something relevant,” like investigating President Trump instead of protecting American families.
It had already become abundantly clear in the first week of the new Congress that extremists have taken over the House Democratic Caucus. But Chairman Engel’s decision to fight Trump instead of terrorism, and the complete lack of outcry from the freshmen Democrats who ran pretending to be serious about national security, shows that the left has become so deranged by their hatred of the President it cannot be trusted to keep the country safe.
