let’s try this again…

Since no one in the Capitol press corps seems interested [Exhibit A] [Exhibit B] [Exhibit C] in asking Nancy Pelosi when she decided border walls were immoral (you know, since she voted for $1.6 billion in wall funding last March), perhaps at her press conference today, we can dig into when to expect a counteroffer from the Democratic Caucus.

It’s been nearly a week since President Trump offered a compromise to reopen the federal government, fund border security and provide protections to DACA and TPS recipients, and all we’ve heard from Pelosi is that the proposal is a “nonstarter.” Despite Pelosi and her Democratic colleagues’ longtime insistence that it’s a moral imperative to extend DACA and TPS, they’re making clear this week that those living in the US under those programs are less important to them than blocking President Trump from fulfilling a campaign promise.

So where’s Pelosi’s plan to reopen the government?
