Climate brats protest Axne

Cindy Axne’s having a tough time trying to straddle the fence in her pro-Trump district.

Liberals in IA-03 are furious that Axne has not yet signed on to the Green New Deal and its socialist agenda of banning hamburgers and cars, prompting hundreds of students and their parents to protest her office in Des Moines. This isn’t the first time Axne was protested by her base. Back in July, 150 protesters descended on her office in an immigration protest.

Axne’s troubles underscore the impossible task ahead of Trump district Democrats: sign on to the grossly unpopular socialist agenda, or risk alienating the liberal base they need to knock on doors and turn out next November.
