CALIFORNIA IMPEACHMENT POLLING

A friendly reminder impeachment is beyond unpopular in California.

Here are the NRCC’s highlights (click for the memos):

• In Katie Porter’s congressional district, voters oppose impeaching President Trump by a 26 point margin.

• In TJ Cox’s congressional district, voters oppose impeaching President Trump by a 22 point margin

• In Gil Cisneros’ congressional district, voters oppose impeaching President Trump by a 23 point margin.  

And here’s some public polling: 

• The Berkely IGS poll found only 35 percent of California’s registered voters believe Congress should begin impeachment proceedings.

• According to the Public Policy Institute of California, 57 percent of likely voters oppose starting impeachment proceedings.
