NRCC Weekly Rundown: More Pinocchios for Schiff as impeachment sham continues
Here’s this week’s edition of the NRCC Weekly Rundown:

(National) Nancy Pelosi’s dark money group House Majority Forward is desperately sounding the alarm for House Democrats totally consumed by impeachment. Not a great look for the do-nothing Democrats who are desperate to make people think they’re anything but that. Speaking of dark money… last cycle, Democrats benefitted from more than $140 million in dark money spending from a single group, including $51.7 million from one anonymous donor. The socialist Democrats allegedly hate dark money – but we call BS.
(National) For those keeping count, Adam Schiffis now up to seven (7) Pinocchios since starting this impeachment circus and voters are catching on. Since the public hearings started, MORE voters nationally now oppose impeachment, including Independents who oppose impeachment by 15 points. How much longer until we can make “BullSchiff” a thing?
(California) Nancy Pelosi’s dark money group is desperately sounding the alarm for House Democrats totally consumed by impeachment. This is bad news for the do-nothing Democrats, especially those in California who are worried after public polling was just released showing Inland Empire, Orange County and Central Valley voters not only oppose impeachment, but are upset with how Democrats are handling the issue. Not even Bat Girl can save this circus!
(FL-26) Debbie Mucarsel-Powell didn’t have a great week after her attempts to play politics with the Cuban community went south. The Miami-Dade commission, where Democrats hold a majority, outright rejected legislation she proposed saying it “smacks of D.C. politics,” with one Democrat even calling it “offensive to a community.” CLICK HERE to read more.
(IL-17) In case you missed it, Cheri “Beltway” Bustos, the DCCC Chair whose organization blacklists primary candidates, is now facing a primary challenge of her own with Spanky Edwards filing to run in IL-17. Edwards pitches himself as the AOC-like “socialist justice, poor people’s option,” while Beltway Bustos represents “wealthy Democrats.” (True?) This primary challenge has been a long time coming – a really, really long time. Beltway Bustos hasn’t yet commented on Edwards entering the race, but given her radical left base’s disgust with her, she could be 2020’s Joseph Crowley….
(KY-06) Reports indicate the DCCC is throwing their support behind “very progressive” Josh Hicks, dooming his chances of winning in KY-06. Hicks will now be forced to own the Democrats’ entire socialist agenda, including their impeachment sham, eliminating private health insurance and the Green New Deal. REMINDER: President Trump won KY-06 by 16 points.
(MI-08) Elissa Slotkin is peddling fake news on CNN, declaring there’s no “coup going on against the president.” Of course, that directly contradicts what the whistleblower’s attorney tweeted 10 days after President Trump’s inauguration: “#coup has started. First of many steps. #rebellion. #impeachment will follow immediately.” No wonder 73% of voters have little to no trust in the impeachment sham happening in Washington…
(MI-11) This week Haley Stevensadmitted that even though her constituents are “not huge on impeachment,” she’ll continue to be. That’s odd considering she was also touting her ability to work with the Trump administration to secure federal funding for local projects. Meanwhile, Speaker Pelosi’s dark money group is desperately sounding the alarm. Pretty troubling for Haley, who is desperate to make voters think she can “walk and chew gum at the same time!”
(MN-02) Last cycle Angie Craig gave a campaign sermon on “total transparency” and “getting big money out of politics,” but so far she has yet to make a statement denouncing dark money group Sixteen Thirty Fund for pouring $141 million into Democrat races. Why? HINT:Angie is a hypocritical, corrupt politician who is benefitting from dark money!
(MN-07) It’s official: No USMCA this year! Why does Cranky Collin Peterson keep peddling fake news to Minnesota farmers?
(NY-22) It’s time for Anthony Brindisi to hit the panic button! When it comes to hisactions in Congress, he’s got nothing to show other than supporting his party’s obsession with removing President Trump from office. Even the WSJ noted, “most of the Democrats defending seats in districts that Mr. Trump won in 2016 are avoiding the issue entirely or stressing their other actions in Congress.” So what has Brinidisi accomplished?Ratifying the USMCA? Nope! Lowering prescription drug costs? Nope! Expanding rural broadband access? Nope! One-term Congressman? Yep!
(OK-05) At her town hall last Sunday, Kendra Horn was asked whether she’d support the “conscience rule,” which was recently blocked by a federal judge. Shockingly, Horn made it clear she would force doctors and nurses to perform abortions against their will, in a babbling answer about medical professionals making a choice to go into the field. REMINDER:Kendra Horn is seeking reelection in OKLAHOMA, and Nancy Pelosi’s dark money group is spending big bucks to desperately help her keep her seat.
(OR-04) Peter DeFazio is trying to appease his socialist base and hold on to his seat by investigating conspiracy theories about President Trump. But it’s clearly not working because Peter D. is facing yet ANOTHER primary challenge. OR-04 Democrats want Peter D. gone, but Peter D. just can’t take a hint!
(PA-01) Folks are sounding the alarm over the abysmal job Cheri “Beltway” Bustos’ DCCC and local Democrats have done in Pennsylvania’s 1st Congressional District, where Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick is still without a top-tier challenger. One Democrat strategist went so far as to call Democrats’ efforts, “the biggest recruiting failure in the country.” Yikes! (PA-08) Today’s impeachment-obsessed Democrats aren’t your grandfather’s Democratic Party. And at least one NEPA Democrat, Luzerne County’s State Senator John Yudichak, sees the writing on the wall. Yudichak’s change of heart (and party) doesn’t bode well for extreme liberal Matt Cartwright and his die-hard support for Washington Democrats’ deranged socialist agenda…
(SC-01) Joe Cunningham posted a Twitter thread lamenting the use of another continuing resolution to keep the government open. But Joe forgot to mention that a CR was only necessary because he and his extreme party are more obsessed with impeaching President Trump than keeping the government open. Perhaps Cunningham alsoforgot he voted with his deranged colleagues to move forward with the impeachment sham?
(TX-07) In case you missed it, Lizzie Fletcher celebrated American Education Week by tweeting out a fake Thomas Jefferson quote. Pay attention in civics class, kids!
(TX-10) Liberals in Texas are taking issue with trial lawyer Shannon Hutcheson, the candidate being thrust upon them in TX-10 by Washington Democrats. While Hutcheson checks off all the right boxes on socialist policy, liberals are wary of her professional background, which includes defending a prison guard who admitted to sexually abusing detainees at an ICE detention center, as well as companies accused of wage theft and age, gender and racial discrimination. Elaine Luria has been slapped with an ethics complaint for touting her military service in a political ad where she declares President Trump committed impeachable offenses… before the public hearings even started. (WI-03) During a Sunday interviewRon Kind adopted the DCCC’s poll-tested language that President Trump attempted “bribery,” demonstrating Democrats’ impeachment arguments are based on poll-tested focus groups – not facts. It also proves Ron is full of it when he claims impeachment “shouldn’t be used as a political weapon” since that is exactly what he is doing. Opposition by independents to impeachment inquiry jumps 10 points
Opposition by independents to the House’s ongoing impeachment inquiry jumped 10 percentage points in the last week, according to a Politico–Morning Consult poll released Tuesday.
The poll showed 47 percent of independents opposed the inquiry, compared to 37 percent last week. Meanwhile support for the inquiry by independents fell 7 points to 40 percent.
Support for the inquiry among all respondents fell 2 points to 48 percent, while opposition to it rose 3 points to 45 percent.
The latest poll comes as the House launched a second week of public testimony on Tuesday, with Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman and Jennifer Williams, an aide to Vice President Pence, appearing in the morning. READ.
Trump Wrapping Paper Sales Bring In The Money For Republican Fundraising Group
A Republican fundraising group is selling Donald Trump-themed wrapping paper, HuffPost reports. Though the effort is getting laughs on Twitter, the group behind the project says more than half a million dollars have been raised so far.
The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) is a fundraising committee tasked with getting Republicans elected to Congress. For the 2019 holiday season, they’re using their party’s affiliation with Donald Trump to raise money in the form of the Trump-themed holiday gift paper.
Specifically, donors are offered three options when making their donation. Two feature snowflakes and the phrase, “I stand with Trump,” while a third option features a handful of catchphrases associated with Trump — such as “Winning” and “Trump 2020” — in a variety of fonts and sizes and in no particular order.
