Why did Ben McAdams endorse at all?

As Ben McAdams and Michael Bloomberg share a stage together today, just a reminder that Ben McAdams represents an R +13 district that President Trump won by seven points.

So, why did McAdams feel he had to endorse in the presidential race at all?

McAdams could have stayed silent until the last minute – like he did with impeachment – before endorsing. Or he didn’t have to endorse at all.

Is it President Trump? Is it the $10 million Bloomberg gave to House Majority Forward who is now spending on McAdams’ behalf?

Such a weird move!
