CHRISTY LIES: Smith is no moderate

In today’s candidate forum, Christy Smith is trying to come across as a pragmatist who will support business and the middle class. 

In reality: 

• Christy Smith cowrote and voted for the Green New Deal in the California State Assembly. Smith also says she supports the national plan which will cost Californians over $600,000 per household.

• Supports gutting Prop 13 which would mean higher property taxes

• Voted for $3 billion in higher taxes and fees, including $1.7 billion on small business. 

• Smith voted for and advocated for Assembly Bill 5, which harms independent contractors, destroy the gig economy in California and will lead to thousands of lost jobs.
