Christy Smith lies again after POTUS tweets about her record

After the president called out Christy Smith tonight for denigrating veterans and firing teachers while raising her own pay, Christy Smith lied again about her record. 

Christy Smith said she never voted to lay off teachers, classroom aides or cut their pay.

This is simply not true and Newhall School District public records prove it. Christy Smith even acknowledged that she reduced teacher and support staff pay in a Zoom town hall earlier this month while somehow simultaneously trying to deny she ever did so. Smith voted to lay off almost 200 teachers and support staff between 2012 and 2018.

Smith, after apologizing for anything she “might” have said, is now claiming President Trump is lying about her denigrating the service of Mike Garcia. 

Christy Smith  asked sarcastically to a group of supporters Saturday if they “knew he (Garcia) was a fighter pilot.” She also said she texted her team that he had pictures of planes behind his desk while she “has constitutional law books.” Garcia flew combat missions during Operation Iraqi Freedom.
