SUBJECT: MONTANA PRIMARY RESULTS
Facing perennial Democrat candidate Kathleen Williams, Republicans are poised to hold the open House seat in Montana. Williams lost this race in 2018 by almost five points during what was considered a banner year for House Democrats. Running with the same extreme record and on the same issues she did in 2018, Williams isn’t likely to win an election with expected high turnout among Republicans in a state President Trump won by more than 20 points in 2016.
MT-AL: Kathleen Williams (D) vs. Matt Rosendale (R)
Kathleen Williams is a liberal extremist from Berkeley, California and her record proves it. Just like 2018, Kathleen Williams is going to have to defend her “F” rating from the NRA, voting in the state legislature to take away Montanans’ 2nd Amendment rights, and voting for radical, job-killing energy regulations that would drive up utility bills, costing families and businesses thousands of dollars a year.
State Auditor Matt Rosendale is an independent voice who will protect Montanans’ interests in Washington. He will have the resources he needs to remind Montanans of Kathleen Williams’ liberal extremism, make his case to the voters and win this district.
PVI: R +11
2016 Presidential Results: Trump: 56.2% Clinton: 35.7% (+20.5)
Ratings: Cook Rating – Likely Republican; Inside Elections – Likely Republican
