NRCC Chairman Emmer Statement on the TX-22 Primary Runoff Election

WASHINGTON – NRCC Chairman Tom Emmer released the following statement regarding the results of the TX-22 primary runoff election:

“Congratulations to Sheriff Troy Nehls on his hard-earned victory. Sheriff Nehls’ commonsense conservatism will serve as a sharp contrast to Sri Kulkarni’s support for the most radical of socialist agenda items, from socialized medicine to a gun ban so extreme that most handguns would become illegal. Nehls’ lifetime of service in the military and in law enforcement shows he’ll never back down from a fight on behalf of the people of Texas and I look forward to working with him on conservative solutions in Washington.”
