Rouda talks attending racist Mekong Delta parties, doesn’t apologize

After avoiding the question for a month, the Orange County Register finally got Harley Rouda on the record about attending his fraternity’s racist Mekong Delta parties. 

Mekong Delta parties were an annual event thrown by Delta Tau Delta fraternities where men dressed as American soldiers while women dressed as Vietnamese prostitutes.

Rouda claims he “only attended one party that he remembers,” “that this is a faux-controversy”  and he wasn’t aware of the controversy surrounding the parties – even though it was well-documented in the school paper and Rouda’s fraternity even defended itself.

Nowhere in Harley’s slew of excuses does he actually apologize.
