Do Casten, Underwood, and Bustos support Pritzker’s pro-crime agenda?

January 19, 2021

With Democrat Governor J.B. Pritzker signaling he’s likely to sign Illinois’ new cashless bail law, every Illinois Democrat will be forced to own the dangerous policy of letting criminals back onto the street.

Sean Casten (IL-06), Lauren Underwood (IL-14), and Cheri Bustos (IL-17) have refused to speak out against this radical bill even though law enforcement officials say it “seems to all but mandate the immediate pretrial release of drug-dealers, arsonists, and drunk drivers irrespective of their likelihood of re-offending, the danger they pose generally to the public, or their willingness to comply with conditions of their release”

It’s time for Illinois Democrats to put their constituents’ safety before partisan politics and call for Governor Pritzker to veto this bill.
